Slimline Ladies Moonphase

Following the success of the ›Slimline‹ with mother-of-pearl dial and diamond indices, Frederique Constant unveils two new versions that celebrate the classic, simple and timeless essence of watchmaking. Each model is now equipped with an opaline dial with pearl black-colored baton indices. At 6 o’clock, the hands are positioned above a crescent-shaped moon phase display, which shows our earth’s satellite surrounded by stars on a midnight blue background reminiscent of the celestial vault. At 12 o’clock, the Roman numeral XII now stands out, which some people missed on the previous models. A new minute track has been arranged around the dial, with Arabic numerals from 5 to 5 and discreetly complemented by the ›Swiss Made’ quality mark at 6 o’clock. Connoisseurs know that this simple interpretation of a minute track is known as a ›chemin de fer‹. This design, which is truly reminiscent of a railroad track, is also called ›Sector Dials’ or ›Railroad Dials‹ on the other side of the pond. Overall, the watch face designed in this way harks back to the great era of watchmaking in the 1920s to 1940s. This aesthetic decision by Frederic Constant is confirmed by the crown at 3 o’clock in the shape of an ›onion‹, which is surmounted by an elegant blue cabochon.
