02 300 YEARS OF TRADITION

The Hans D. Krieger brand is backed by a jewelry family from Idar-Oberstein that can look back with pride on its nearly 300 year-long jewelry-making tradition. In the 19th century, Idar-Oberstein developed into one of the most important jewelry centers in Germany. The craft and trade involved in the refinement and processing of gemstones flourished. The Krieger family has been focusing on diamond cutting since 1935. And they have been making jewelry to customer specifications since 1963. Today, in the fourth generation, unique gems are created in Hans D. Krieger’s in-house manufactory.

03 THE ‘FIVE C’S’ OF DIAMONDS

The company’s own collection focuses on colored gemstones and especially on natural-colored diamonds. All steps of jewel production are handled seamlessly under one roof – from the rough diamond, its various cuts, the skillful staging of the natural color, to the design and the finishing by goldsmiths and setters in the manufactory. This is how magically beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces and exclusive small series are created – jewelry for an eternity. Hans D. Krieger attaches the greatest importance to the ‘five C’s’ of diamonds: Carat, Clarity, Color, Cut and Confidence.

04 ORIGIN OF THE GOLD

Not only does confidence in the authenticity of the gemstones play a more essential role today, but the origin of the gold is also becoming increasingly important. As with our own unique jewelry from Oberleitner, Hans D. Krieger documents a transparent and responsible supply chain with precisely documented secondary sources for the gold used. Sustainability and responsible handling of natural resources are the be-all and end-all.

05 CLASSICS INTERPRETED IN A CONTEMPORARY WAY

Krieger’s specialty is naturally-colored diamonds, i.e. diamonds with a unique natural color. These are particularly rare and unique specimens of nature. Hans D. Krieger’s jewelry designs are particularly distinguished by their contemporary interpretation of classics. For a new elegance, a new definition of luxury which enjoys worldwide recognition through the most complicated cutting and setting work.
