The care and maintenance of exquisite timepieces should be subjected to the same degree of precision as their function. As master watchmakers, we carry out all work from the major overhaul to water resistance test and even battery change with exactly the same expertise. With our passion, we makes sure that your watch can perform its task reliably for decades to come. Regular service appointments not only pay off in terms of functionality, but especially in terms of preserving its value – for the life of the watch and for generations to come.
We recommend changing the batteries even before the second hand of your quartz watch starts beating in a four-second rhythm or has even stopped. We advise this with quartz watches, especially if they are rarely worn, since the battery can corrode and damage the movement. We recommend changing the battery every two to three years. This will keep your fine mechanical marvel safe.
The quality of the watch strap has just as much influence on the quality of a watch as its case. If you wear your watch every day, we recommend replacing leather straps once a year to maintain its impeccable appearance. This also gives the opportunity to customize the look of your watch.
Mobile devices such as smartphones and laptops emit electromagnetic radiation. If your watch is frequently in the vicinity of these devices, magnetism can have a negative impact on the accuracy of your watch – and that’s regardless of whether you have a mechanical or automatic model. Even magnetic closures of bags and wallets can have an influence. We will check this for you and demagnetize your watch if necessary.
Once a year – ideally before you go on vacation – you should let your watch be checked for watertightness by us. Especially if plan on doing some swimming and diving. Because even minimal moisture penetration will permanently damage the precision mechanics.
