EYE-CATCHER OF THE SEASON

We are particularly enamored with one of the latest models released by Patek Philippe with a mechanical movement and automatic winding. The olive green model of the new annual calendar with its sunburst finish and black gradient is simply this season’s eye-catcher.

With the Ref. 5205R-011, Patek Philippe presents a new variation of the patented annual calendar. Here, the day of the week, date and month are displayed in an arc-shaped window. The moon phase with integrated 24-hour display at six o’clock is particularly prominent. The highly complex mechanics are controlled by the self-winding Caliber 324 S QA LU 24H/206. The annual calendar, which only needs to be corrected once a year when February changes to March, is housed in an exquisite 18k rose gold case with a diameter of 40 mm. And the understated olive green two-tone dial with a subtle black gradient is highlighted in the finest sunburst finish.

In 2022, Patek Philippe reissued this model in this original and contemporary color. The case stands out with its concave bezel, the indentations on the sides and the openwork strap attachments. A fine architectural design, which was of course polished entirely by hand by the craftsmen of the last family-run watch manufacturer in Geneva. The three windows for the day, date and month located in the upper section ensure the typically perfect readability of the annual calendar, with a rose gold frame at 12 o’clock highlighting the most important information, namely the date.

The transparent sapphire crystal back provides a view of the caliber, a true marvel that only needs to be manually corrected once a year, by the end of February.
