Treasures from the Deep

The Young Fish and Under the Sea jewellery collections by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen capture the fascinating world of the ocean. Designed by Sofia Lynggaard Normann, the creations are brought to life through precise craftsmanship and meticulously executed details.

The designer finds her inspiration in nature, particularly in the mysterious depths of the sea. With an experimental approach, she explores forms, materials and modes of expression throughout the creative process. Each idea begins as a detailed sketch and is then realised in close collaboration with the experienced goldsmiths of the Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen workshop, where every piece is crafted by hand with exceptional skill.

The Young Fish collection interprets life beneath the waves through imaginative motifs and playful, movable details. The earrings in the collection can be combined with interchangeable pendants, offering a wide range of possibilities for personal expression. In the intricately designed Octopus ring, colourful gemstones seem to dance across the fingers, lending every movement a sense of fluid dynamism.

Another example of remarkable craftsmanship is the Claw pendant, whose surface combines four different finishes: satin, brushed, sandblasted and polished. This finely balanced interplay gives the piece both depth and vibrancy.

The designer finds inspiration for many of her creations while diving off the coast of Australia. There she experiences the constant movement, shifting light and vivid colours of the underwater world. In this way, the Young Fish and Under the Sea collections become a poetic tribute to the beauty of the ocean and the artistry of traditional goldsmithing.
