The sporty and elegant Nautilus models from 1976 and the Aquanaut models for men and women first launched at the end of the 1990s have long since achieved cult status. The Aquanaut Luce and the Nautilus for ladies are now offered in many different versions, including exclusive haute joaillerie models with extraordinarily exquisite gem-setting. With seven new references, Patek Philippe is reinterpreting the sporty elegance of both collections. Two exceptional crafts are combined for this purpose: the high art of watchmaking with the refinement of high jewellery.

Minute repeaters Aquanaut Luce ‘Rainbow’ Haute Joaillerie Ref 5260/355R-001 & 5260/1455R-001 with invisibly set diamonds and colorful sapphires

The distinctive shape of the octagonal bezel is accentuated by two rows of invisibly set baguette gemstones – diamonds on the outer ring and colorful sapphires in rainbow colours on the inner ring. The dial subtly plays with the shapes of the gemstones and their setting and features a pavé of invisibly set baguette diamonds in the center, an hour circle of snow-set diamonds and 12 baguette sapphires in a rainbow colour gradient as hour markers. The automatic R 27 movement remains visible through the sapphire crystal back. The second new minute repeater Aquanaut Luce ‘Rainbow’ Haute Joaillerie reference 5260/1455R-001 will initially be available in the Patek Philippe Salons in Geneva, Paris and London. It features a full set of 130 baguette diamonds on the dial and the outer ring of the bezel, as well as 779 coloured baguette sapphires on the inner ring of the bezel, the case flanks, the minute repeater slide and the rose gold bracelet. In the centre of the dial, on the bezel and the flank of the middle section as well as on the middle links and the flanks of the gold bracelet, Patek Philippe has applied the elaborate invisible setting technique. The dial is extremely legible and features 12 coloured baguette sapphires as hour markers and baguette diamonds for the hour circle. The hour hand is set with three baguette rubies. The minute hand is set with five blue baguette sapphires. The opening of the hour tube, which carries the hands, is set with a brilliant-cut diamond.
