CURTAIN UP!

…for the Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture!

What has not been speculated about Frédérique Constant’s flagship collection that collectors have been waiting for so long: a collection with the emblematic complication of Haute Horlogerie and the most complex mechanical calendar ever invented.

The watch not only embodies all the outstanding achievements that Frédérique Constant has produced in almost 35 years, but also asserts itself as a timepiece that is unavoidable in Haute Horlogerie. This is thanks to its technology, its beauty, its precision, but also its affordability, which has made the manufacture so unique since its foundation.

Whether in an 18-carat red gold or stainless-steel version, the watch is characterized by a rare boldness. It breaks numerous codes that were considered immovable. With this timepiece, Frédérique Constant proves that it is possible to design an ultra-modern watch with old complications. A watch that is produced and assembled in its own Geneva manufacture and at the same time becomes the most affordable manufacture tourbillon with a perpetual calendar ever made. And that it is ultimately possible to skilfully unite these supposedly irreconcilable opposites and create a vibrant, modern, elegant and precise timepiece.

This complicated composition is powered by the FC-975 calibre, which is developed, manufactured and assembled in very limited numbers in the heart of the manufactory. For maximum precision – a key feature of the tourbillon – Frédérique Constant has equipped the watch with a silicon escapement, i.e. a silicon escapement wheel and lever. With this technical choice, the Manufacture is making a clear statement and wants to provide its collectors with a stable, precise watch that is insensitive to temperature fluctuations and magnetic fields in our digital environment such as computers, smartphones, tablets or Bluetooth speakers.

The interior of this exceptional movement can be seen from the dial or the case back, regardless of the angle from which the Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture is viewed. It is adjusted using correctors that are discreetly embedded in the case flanks.

Even though the Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture is strictly limited (30 pieces for the red gold version and 88 for the stainless-steel version), every collector can still give their engraved and numbered piece several faces. Each version is available with two bracelets that can be interchanged at will and without tools.

The pink gold version is offered with an alligator leather strap with decorative stitching, which is complemented by a second strap in rubber, emphasizing the very urban and modern attitude that the Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture can adopt in just a few seconds. The same rubber strap is also included with the stainless-steel version, which in turn is completed by a three-link polished and satin-finished bracelet, also in stainless steel, with a folding clasp bearing the Frédérique Constant seal.
