The ›Patek Philippe Ref. 5204G‹ is an exceptional development, even for the sophistication of the last family-owned Geneva watch manufacturer, combining two of the most important complications of haute horlogerie: the split-second chronograph and the perpetual calendar.

 This intricate mechanism reflects the long-standing tradition and technical expertise of the manufacture. With its classic white gold case and deep olive green sunburst dial with a black gradient, it combines masterful watchmaking with a bold yet elegant design. The 40 mm case features a finely polished surface, a concave bezel, and two-tiered lugs. The round chronograph pushers emphasize the classic aesthetic and contribute to the harmonious lines of the watch. The carefully arranged dial ensures optimal legibility of its numerous displays. The day and month indicators are positioned in a double window at 12 o’clock, while the date hand and moon phase are placed at 6 o’clock. The complication is further enhanced by a small seconds subdial and an instantaneous 30-minute counter, both set within finely azuraged subdials at 9 and 3 o’clock. Two small apertures at 4:30 and 7:30 display the leap year cycle and day/night indicator, ensuring precise calendar adjustments

 

At the heart of this timepiece is the Caliber CHR 29-535 PS Q, a hand-wound movement with a traditional architecture, featuring two column wheels and a horizontal clutch. Seven patented innovations enhance the precision and reliability of the chronograph mechanism, six of which apply to the chronograph function, while one is dedicated to the split-seconds mechanism. The power reserve extends up to 65 hours when the chronograph function is not in use. The sapphire crystal case back offers a view of the meticulously finished movement, while an interchangeable solid gold case back provides an alternative. The high-quality olive green calfskin strap, hand-stitched with beige contrast stitching, completes the harmonious design and ensures maximum comfort. This reference complements the existing 5204R-011 in rose gold, offering another elegant option for connoisseurs of sophisticated watchmaking.
