No pushers, no correctors, no pens – the simple handling for three complications

The new Classic Power Reserve Big Date Manufacture continues on this challenging path and houses the new FC-735 manufacture calibre, the first Frederique Constant calibre to feature the unique and distinctive big date, an exquisitely designed moon phase and an enormous power reserve, which is supported by an extended autonomy of 50 hours. The power reserve is now indicated at 9 o’clock by a fine hand that runs through an arc from 0 to 50. It ends in a red warning zone. When it hits this zone you know it is time to wind the watch before it stops.

Opposite, between 2 and 3 o’clock, is the large date with its framed double window displaying tens and units. A perfect balance that is completed by the moon phase display at 6 o’clock, which shines poetically on its blue, star-studded firmament.

As always, this calibre has been designed for intuitive and simple operation: All three complications, as well as setting the time and winding, are regulated via the crown at 3 o’clock. No pushers, no correctors, no pens: the FC-735 movement stands by its modernity. It is well thought out, made for everyday use and yet reflects the sublime style of Frederique Constant. The case with a diameter of just 40 mm, as required by the classic rules, has been given a revised look with newly dimensioned lugs and slimmer indices. All hands are faceted with diamonds and polished by hand. The case also features an open back, allowing any watch enthusiast to marvel at the calibre in its tireless counting.
