Black as a Statement

Frederique Constant expands its collection with two striking new interpretations: the Classic Power Reserve Big Date Manufacture in a consistently black design. With this, the Geneva manufacture provides its 31st in-house caliber, the FC-735, with a new and expressive stage.

The new versions deliberately play with the power of reduction. Deep black dials meet equally dark cases, creating a monochrome aesthetic that conveys both calm and precision. Even the moon phase display integrates seamlessly into this concept, also rendered in black. In the version with the black case, this approach is carried through consistently: the hands are fully blackened as well, emphasizing the watch’s purist character.

Despite this visual restraint, the technical sophistication remains fully present. The FC-735 caliber combines power reserve, big date, and moon phase in a balanced interplay. The power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock, the distinctive big date between 2 and 3 o’clock, and the moon phase at 6 o’clock follow a clear and harmonious arrangement.
