The Classics Carrée Automatic is one of the most popular models by the Geneva-based watchmaker Frederique Constant. This iconic model now for the first time receives an artfully crafted moonphase, positioned at 6 o’clock. The watch is available with two different dials, a sunray finish and a delicate guilloche herringbone pattern in silver or navy blue.
The rectangular shape is a classic design from the Art Deco era. At the time it was a challenge for watchmakers to fit a movement into a rectangular case and the distinctive railway minute track is a further nod to this era. Frederique Constant thus interprets traditional design elements in a contemporary language.
The generous 42,3 times 30 millimetre format highlights the new moonphase and enhances the watch’s visual balance. The square casing is crafted entirely from polished stainless steel and the watch houses an automatic calibre with a 38-hour power reserve, visible through the sapphire crystal case back.
Frederique Constant thus adds an extra dimension of classical watchmaking to the popular Classics Carrée Automatic with the introduction of a moonphase. Within this watch technology meets poetry, the past meets the present and craftsmanship meets aesthetics – a sophisticated companion for connoisseurs with a passion for the extraordinary.
