Rose Gold Meets Regulator

The Patek Philippe 5253 from 2011 takes on a new face, blending traditional watchmaking with contemporary design. This model combines the Geneva maison’s patented annual calendar mechanism—renowned for its precision and reliability—with a regulator-style dial that elegantly and clearly displays hours, minutes, and seconds.

The complication is now available in a new version featuring an elegant rose gold case, a vertically satin-finished dial in graphite gray and ebony black, and subtle white accents, giving the watch a particularly luxurious and harmonious appearance. The model pays tribute to the so-called “regulator” precision pendulum clocks, which served as reliable timekeepers in watch workshops and observatories for many years.

The track-style scales emphasize the technical character of the annual calendar, which displays the day, month, and date at a glance in three separate windows. Thanks to its intelligent mechanism, only one manual correction per year is required, making the watch especially convenient for everyday wear. The caliber’s micro-rotor is crafted from 22-karat gold, decorated with circular Côtes de Genève, and can be admired through a sapphire crystal case back.

The look is completed by a matte black, hand-stitched alligator strap with square scales, perfectly harmonized with the dial. The new rose gold edition is the only Patek Philippe wristwatch with a regulator display, combining technical precision, historical inspiration, and elegant design in a unique timepiece.
